Government of Seychelles launches GEF-6 national dialogue

The Government of Seychelles has been allocated funded from the sixth replenishment of the Global Environment Fund (GEF-6: 2014-2018) of US$ 7.59 million. These funds are to address priorities in the focal areas of Biodiversity, Land Degradation and Climate Change Mitigation (including Sustainable Forest Management).

In line with GEF procedures for determining the use of these funds, the Ministry of Environment, Energy and Climate Change, as the Executing Agency for GEF6, hereby announces:

National Dialogue Workshop for GEF-6

Venue: Constance Ephelia

From 08.30 to 16.00 hrs, Monday 23rd February 2015

The National Dialogue Workshop is an open meeting to review the country's priority environment and climate change mitigation issues. The meeting will review environmental challenges and drivers of degradation as identified in national strategic documents and participants will be invited to put forward ideas for potential projects to address these.

Interested civil society and private sector associations, NGOs, etc., are cordially invited to register to attend the workshop. To register, please send the name of your representative and that of your organization to the below address before Friday 13th February, 2015.
